We have developed a suspension system to ensure that you feel in complete control of your vehicle, regardless of the road conditions. i-ACTIV AWD® is capable of predicting the loss of traction at the wheel. To do this, it monitors many parameters: everything from the ambient air temperature and the mode of operation of the windshield wipers to the driver's handling of the steering wheel and use of the brakes. For example, if the street temperature drops to the point where snow may fall and the windshield wipers are turned on, the AWD system detects that the road is slippery and puts the front wheels in a pre-prepared state against a possible skid. If they actually fail during a skid, the system immediately redistributes the traction force (driving force) to the rear wheels and provides the necessary traction with the road. This innovative system is designed to allow the driver to enjoy every trip in any traffic conditions.

In order to further improve fuel economy, the SKYACTIV-G 2.5T engine is equipped with an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooling system that prevents excessive fuel combustion during high-temperature engine operation.
