HUMAN-MACHINE INTERFACE (HMI)

Modern cars display more and more information, which can confuse and even distract the driver. That's why Mazda designed the HMI system completely around you, so you can access detailed information with minimal eye movement and stress. Controls, instruments, steering wheel and gear lever are ideally placed in relation to the driver's seat. The main instrument cluster and the ergonomically shaped steering wheel, which optimizes comfortable grip, are centered directly on the driver, while the pedals are symmetrically positioned so that they sit naturally on the footrest. A wider view of the road is possible thanks to the relatively rear A-pillars. Also, the CX-5 is equipped with a full-color head-up display reflected on the windshield. This Active Driving Display displays the necessary driving information right in front of your eyes, so you can get the information you want without taking your eyes off the road.
